The busy start of the year continues at Midbrook with the erection of a hot rolled steel frame building in Canterbury. All structural steelwork is in place ready for the fibre cement roofing to follow and timber wall cladding. Steel work completed in a week with completion of the rest of the building due within the next couple of weeks.
Midbrook have been busy since returning back to work after the Christmas break with a number of key projects on target to be completed by the end of February.
Working on sites throughout the south of the country, Midbrook are on target to complete £1.5m worth of orders. Projects have involved a mixture of work, including comprehensive groundworks, steelwork and cladding and internal works.
Midbrook were instructed by a large religious organisation to carry out two significant buildings for their new headquarters in the South of England. Midbrook’s expertise in delivering a quick economical construction method was demonstrated in full on this project.
Working within a tight timescale, the Midbrook team had a major impact on the design elements to ensure the buildings met our clients requirements. The project consisted of a reinforced insulated raft foundation, prepared and concreted within a month and two portal cold rolled steel frames, erected, cladded and fitted with aluminium windows and doors all within a month.
Midbrook demonstrated it’s broad range of services by offering a full turnkey package to a local cricket club.
Works involved demolition of existing buildings, groundworks, retaining walls, reinforced slab, internal blockwork and full internal fit out and mechanical and electrical works. Landscaping work was also carried out to finish off this successful 12 week project as a part of a JCT minor works contract.
Midbrook were recommended for this project, having delivered a similar building for a friend. Midbrook obtained planning permission for our client and discharged a number of conditions outlined on the planning consent.
After some lengthy discussions to satisfy the local authority, Midbrook commenced work in September on the groundworks, completing and handing over on the project prior to the Christmas break.
Working alongside two separate property developers in the North East and South of the Country, Midbrook supplied a total of 22 industrial units during the summer of 2016.
On both projects Midbrook were employed for the steel framework and mezzanine floors and the cladding elements of the units.
The broad range of Midbrook’s capabilities was demonstrated with this project, working on behalf of a main contractor for the Ministry of Defence Midbrook supplied 32 new dog kennels using an alternative steel stud and track system.
The building was separated internally to house the kennels and a separate building for recovery dogs was also supplied.
Midbrook were delighted to be appointed by the production company Scott Fleary, to build the new house for the successful TV show and a new eviction building. The project was time critical to be built in time for the start of the new series, the Midbrook Design Team worked closely with Scott Fleary to produce the building that met their client requirements.
Midbrook were instructed to carry out all the necessary groundworks, manufacture and construction of steel framework including mezzanines and all external cladding and doors. A challenging project, delivered within the challenging time frames and to our customers satisfaction.
Contracting to a specialist Fast Track construction company Midbrook were appointed to design, manufacture and construct a large cold rolled portal frame for a large holiday complex in the South of England.
The contractor chose our preferred system due to the speed of construction and the ability to work together on site to provide the desired outcome for the end user. Again working to quick deadlines our skilled team of on-site operatives worked efficiently to deliver within the tight timeframe.
