The Barn Garden Centre approached Midbrook Steel Buildings to construct a steel framed building similar to a project completed for Collyer’s Nursery. The project’s scope was to supply and fit a portal steel framed building with insulated cladding, aluminium doors and windows with larch cladding. The team also completed groundworks, created an outdoor sales area, laid new drains, ran ducts for new services and completed paving and surfacing.

One of the challenges was to create a steel framed building that matched the aesthetic of the existing garden centre. The team had to ensure that the new steel building’s design complemented the surrounding environment while being functional and practical. The team also had to complete the project while the garden centre remained open to the public, minimising any disruption.

Midbrook Steel Buildings completed the project on time and within budget, with minimal disruption to the garden centre’s operation. The new steel framed building provided the garden centre with a modern and functional coffee shop while blending in with the surrounding environment.
