Midbrook Steel Buildings are a leading supplier of steel framed buildings and affiliated construction services. Midbrook have strengthened their team by the appointment of the vastly experienced David Wibberley as Technical Sales Manager. Dave comes with great knowledge of the construction industry with over 30 years’ experience in the industry.

In addition Midbrook are delighted to announce the appointment of Dan Turvey, who after achieving a 2:1 BSc (Honours) in Architectural Technology & Practice from Derby University, joins the Midbrook team to provide our clients with schematic design ideas and submission of planning and building control applications.

NEXT Job for Midbrook

Midbrook Steel Buildings have been appointed as sub-contractor for the steelwork and cladding element of the project for the new staff shop for NEXT in Doncaster. Work began in late August and the project is set for completion later this month. The Design includes the main structure 20m x 40m in length a link building to the main distribution centre and a canopy design for the main entrance.

Key Appointment at Midbrook

Midbrook steel buildings are delighted to announce the recent appointment of Lindsey Allcock as Quantity Surveyor. Lindsey has over 10 years-experience within the construction industry and a wealth of knowledge of construction law and contracts. Lindsey will also be involved in all purchasing aspects relating to the business and ensuring that Midbrook receive best value for money, quality and service from its supply chain.

SAFEcontractor Accreditation Achieved

As part of our continued improvement and focus on ensuring that our Health and Safety standards are in line and exceeding the expectations of our industry we’re are pleased to announce that we have recently become accredited members of the SAFEcontractor scheme. This is in addition to our CHAS and constructionline accreditations. Over the past six months we have undertaken various Health & Safety courses for our operatives including, asbestos awareness, abrasive wheels, and safety netting courses. We have also developed our own approved scaffolding systems for our different types of steel framed buidlings.

Midbrook Design Building – Open for Business

Work Starts on New Coffee Shop at Derbyshire Garden Centre

Midbrook Steel Buildings have commenced work on a new coffee shop building for Derbyshire based Garden Centre Collyers in Borrowash. The new building is made from our steel stud & track system. The roof system is a Kingspan insulated roof panel with the walls clad using a larch horizontal cladding with Khaki Green Aluminium windows. Midbrook’s scope of works includes the site clearance and groundworks constructing a reinforced insulated concrete raft design, supply & fix of framework and cladding and some of the internal works. The project looks set for completion for use for the busy summer months at the garden centre.

Midbrook Complete Factory Extension for Expanding Essex Business

February saw the completion of a factory extension at Yewdale Corporation in Essex. Midbrook Steel Buildings were given the total turnkey package for this project including, planning submission, building regulations approval, groundworks, drainage, supply & fix of new extension, fire protection and re-cladding of existing building.

The project was completed within an 8 week period, Yewdale director Garth Parsons comments: “We are very pleased with Midbrook and the quality of the product, communication and that the contract was completed at the agreed cost within the agreed timeframe, we would not hesitate in recommending them.”
