Client Overview and Project Brief
National Star, a UK-based charity providing specialist further education, needed a permanent, on-site storage solution after years of relying on an off-site rental warehouse. The existing setup was inefficient, costly, and logistically challenging. As the organisation continued to grow, it became clear that a more practical and cost-effective alternative was required. The brief to Midbrook Steel Buildings was straightforward: deliver a well-designed, durable, and efficient storage facility that would streamline daily operations and serve as a smart long-term investment. A bespoke steel-framed building with a mezzanine floor was identified as the ideal solution.
The Solution: A Turnkey Timber Clad Steel Building with Mezzanine
Midbrook delivered a full turnkey package, managing every stage of the project from initial groundworks through to the completed timber clad steel building. The structure was designed with both functionality and flexibility in mind, incorporating a mezzanine floor to maximise usable space. Timber cladding was also included, ensuring the exterior would complement its surroundings while delivering all the strength and durability of a steel frame building.
Today, the building is used to store agricultural equipment and vital school resources, right on campus. The new facility has drastically improved operational efficiency and eliminated the need for costly external storage.
