Reading Blue Coat School is an independent day school for boys and girls aged 11-18, with a reputation for academic excellence and a broad range of extracurricular activities. The school’s facilities were in need of expansion and improvement to meet the growing needs of its students and staff. Midbrook Steel Buildings developed a comprehensive plan that took into account the school’s schedule and operations, as well as the specific requirements of each building and structure. The company’s experienced team of designers, engineers and construction professionals worked closely with the school to ensure that the new facilities met its needs while minimising disruption. Midbrook’s groundworks division handled all aspects of site preparation and construction, including demolition, ducting, drainage, and water treatment tank installation, as well as concrete yard construction and landscaping. The company also managed the internal fit-out of the buildings, with M&E works subcontracted to ARC Mande.
The project was completed on time and within budget, with all new facilities meeting the school’s needs and exceeding its expectations.
