As customer safety and comfort were priorities, the steel-framed building was fully insulated, featuring 115mm insulation in the roof and 80mm insulation in the walls. This ensures energy efficiency and comfort, making the building suitable for year-round use.

Cresswell, a village in Nottinghamshire’s Bassetlaw district, had relied on its Leisure Centre for many years. However, the ageing facility was no longer fit for purpose, and the local council made the decision to replace it with a new building that could better serve the community.
