This isn't the first time we've had the pleasure of partnering with Blue Light Services. Our previous project included groundworks and constructing a steel-framed building to be used as a workshop to prepare ambulances. Our previous project for them included a bespoke steel building designed to meet the following specifications:
- Dimensions: 16m x 15m x 4.8m
- Insulation: Roof - 115mm; Walls - 80mm
- Cladding Colour: Anthracite

The Task
Blue Light Services returned to us with a new request to refresh their existing steel building. Our team was excited to take on the challenge of modernising the structure through comprehensive re-cladding, enhancing both its durability and appearance.
This project involved:
- Removing outdated cladding and installing new panels
- Re-cladding the main steel-framed building and adding secondary steelwork where necessary
- Upgrading roller and personnel doors
- Improving rainwater systems
- Removing older brickwork elements
- Conducting a full site survey
With our expertise in steel-framed buildings, we ensured that each component met the highest standards, while also aligning with Blue Light Services’ specific requirements.
Results
Our team successfully completed the re-cladding within the 6-week timeline, delivering a refreshed, high-performing steel-framed building. The anthracite composite panels gave the building a modern look and increased durability, while the insulation upgrades provided improved temperature control.
