Spring Lane CIO had an ambitious vision: to transform Spring Lane Playing Fields into a valuable resource for sport, education and wellbeing, serving the community of Erdington and the surrounding areas.
Now, just three months into the project, that vision is becoming a reality.
The large-scale development is progressing brilliantly, with the main steel frame now erected, external cladding complete and solar panels installed. With completion expected in the next couple of months, the new facility is already starting to give a glimpse of what will become an important hub for local sport and community activity.

The remaining works include the internal walls, flooring, finishes and fit-out, alongside a number of external elements including the gutters, downpipes and courtyard canopy.
Over the coming weeks, we’ll see the building develop from a construction site into a fully functioning sports pavilion and community facility.
It’s particularly exciting to see the internal spaces beginning to take shape, giving a much clearer idea of how the building will eventually be used by local sports teams, community groups and visitors.
