Challenges

Romans International Ltd needed a building that not only reflected their brand’s prestige but also offered functionality and durability. The project demanded careful consideration of design, construction, and compliance requirements within a tight timeframe. Once they decided on a steel-framed building, next up was deciding which Steel Building Company to go with.

Steel Framed Building Solution Provided by Midbrook Steel Buildings

Midbrook Steel Buildings was delighted when we were chosen for this exciting project. We were entrusted with delivering a turnkey solution for Romans International Ltd, collaborating closely with the project architect, Richard Humphreys Practice. Here’s how we addressed our client’s requirements:

1. Design and Build Solution: Midbrook provided a comprehensive design and build solution tailored to Romans International Ltd’s specifications. This involved meticulous planning and coordination to ensure every aspect of the steel-framed building project met the client’s expectations.

2. Main Structure: We supplied and installed a robust steel building using engineered cold-rolled steel columns. This framework provided the necessary strength and support for the building, ensuring its longevity and structural integrity.

3. Cladding and Roofing: Midbrook supplied and fitted KSRW1000 cladding, offering excellent insulation and weather protection. Additionally, a catslide lean-to roof design was incorporated to enhance the architectural aesthetics of the steel-framed building.

4. Specialised Features: The steel building facility included in-ground electro-hydraulic vehicle lifts, catering to Romans International Ltd’s specific requirements for their prestige car sales operations. Insulated remote-controlled roller shutter doors were installed for secure access, while internal amenities such as a Doc M toilet facility and welfare area were provided for staff and customers’ convenience.

5. Mechanical and Electrical Works: Midbrook managed all mechanical and electrical works as part of the steel building turnkey solution, ensuring seamless integration of essential services within the building.

Project Execution and Timeline

Despite the complexity of the steel-framed building project, Midbrook successfully completed the works within a 12-week build programme, adhering to the JCT Minor Works Contract. Our efficient project management and skilled workforce ensured timely delivery without compromising on quality or safety standards.
