what we did...
Our client approached us requiring a quick solution for their customer’s car collection. We liaised directly with the site groundwork and drainage contractors and provided them with the relevant slab dimensions and specifications. From finalising our construction drawings we were on site and commenced building the main structure within two weeks. The site was difficult to access so a site meeting with our contracts manager and client meant we staggered deliveries and used the appropriate vehicles to ensure that everything ran smoothly. The building had a span of 18m and a length of 36m with an eaves height of 4m with a 10 degree roof pitch. The cladding was a single skin profile sheet, with an anti-condensation treatment roof sheet. This building was required urgently and with appropriate management of our resources we managed to complete the project within two weeks.

what we did...
We were involved in this project from the outset, including submission of the planning application. Planning constraints meant that the material designs changed to a horizontal cedar timber wall cladding and brickwork with a single skin roof. Once planning permission had been granted we commenced the groundworks and then completed the supply & fix of the building, which complements its surroundings.

Midbrook were approached directly by the school bursar, who had been given the task of procuring a building that was functional and fit for purpose, however more cost effective than a traditionally built structure. After our site appraisal and the client travelling to see a similar building, we had done enough to convince him that our insulated steel galvanised portal frame structure was the way forward. Our construction package included: the construction and design of a reinforced concrete raft, supply and fit of the building including a range of windows, rollershutter doors and access doors. The project was completed within the timescales requested and to the satisfaction of the school.

Budget constraints led to our client looking for a more cost effective storage solution. With a planning application already approved for a similar but albeit more costly structure, our client managed to amend the application accordingly to the Midbrook building design. With restrictive site access and working to a sloping concrete slab prepared by others our skilled team of erectors managed to overcome these difficulties to provide our client with a strong robust and durable storage facility.
