Tropical Marine Centre needed a larger warehouse space to meet the demands of its growing business. Midbrook Steel Buildings was contracted to design and construct a custom steel framed building with a mezzanine floor for additional office and storage space. The project required extensive groundworks and drainage work prior to the installation of the main steel framed building.
Tropical Marine Centre is a well-established supplier of marine fish and invertebrates to the global aquarium trade. The company’s main trade facility in Chorleywood, Hertfordshire, required a larger warehouse space to accommodate its growing inventory and improve operational efficiency. Midbrook Steel Buildings developed a solution that met all of Tropical Marine Centre’s requirements. The new steel framed building included a large open-plan warehouse space, with a mezzanine floor providing additional office and storage space. The building was designed to be fully accessible for large delivery vehicles, with high-quality roller shutter doors and pedestrian access points. Prior to the installation of the main steel framed building, Midbrook’s groundworks division completed extensive drainage and concreting works to prepare the site.
